Pentâge Winery is a boutique winery nestled on 23 acres overlooking Skaha Lake in Penticton, British Columbia.

Owned and operated by Paul Gardner & Julie Rennie - it all began in 1996......

It started out as a mini-weekend get-away to the Okanagan looking for property. Paul had a great desire for land and space, when we happened to stumble upon 4400 Lakeside Road - "it had everything right...wrong with it" said Paul. With his vision and immense passion.....the dream started to unfold.
 
In 1996 the property was purchased and immediately Paul got to work by contouring the 23 acres. In 1997 our 6 1/2 acre vineyard (Vista Ridge) was planted with seven different varieties of Vinifera grapes. For the reds, we planted Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Gamay, for the whites we planted Sauvignon Blanc and Gewürztraminer. As well as operating our own vineyard, we currently manage 2 1/2 acres of Pinot Gris from an adjoining vineyard owned by Stu & Yvonne Goldberg, and have contracts for Semillon, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. 1999 marked the year of our first vintage.
 
As a marine engineer, Paul was away from home a third of every year, in 1995 he decided he wanted to build a home and a business that would allow us to work as a team. Paul's greatest passion was the making of wine -- the challenge and love for wine along with the perfect property - made this dream a reality. Julie, with business and administration background, runs the business side of things along with overseeing the vineyard. Working as a team, we are both involved in every aspect of our business.

Our commitment to excellence begins in the vineyards; we believe the foundation of the greatest of wines are those that most truly reflect their soil and climate - also known as the "terroir". Our low-yield cultivation strategy produces the top-quality grapes essential  to our premium quality, limited release, hand-crafted wines.
